34 1/2"W x 25"D x 33"H - 8 Huge Rooms

Victoria's Farmhouse dollhouse kit is a Real Good Toys best seller.  With the beautiful 2-story wraparound porch and large rooms, this is a perfect starter home for any miniaturist!

If you want to purchase Fluted Interior Trim to finish the interior window/door trim, you will need approximately 18 feet (9 pieces).  As for Baseboard Molding, if you end-join the pieces as you build (that's what real life carpenters do), you need 20 feet of baseboard molding.  If you only cut lengths that fit in one piece, you need 22 feet of baseboard molding.  (Note: at least 8 pieces must be 13 inches - 14 1/2 inches or longer.  Our J-FK kit has 12 inch and 16 inch pieces to accommodate these longer pieces, more than enough baseboard is included for this dollhouse.)

Milled MDF (MM)

The 3/8” clapboard profile is milled into the surface of the medium density fiberboard (MDF) exterior walls.

Having the clapboard siding already milled into the exterior walls makes your assembly easier, because the siding is built-in and ready to paint.

Milled Plywood (MP)

The 3/8” clapboard profile is milled into the surface of the cabinet grade plywood exterior walls.

Milled MDF vs Milled Plywood

What exactly is MDF?  MDF, like plywood is made from wood and glue, but MDF (not particleboard) is processed and super compressed with intense heat to eliminate the grain defects found in ordinary wood products.  Many top quality furniture manufacturers use MDF and it has become their material of choice.  The fiberboard we use in the production of many of our dollhouses is hand chosen because of its outstanding rank among the fiberboards manufactured today.

What is the difference between MDF and MP? Is one better than the other?  First, you’ll notice a price difference between the two.  Each has its own particular advantages, but one is not necessarily better than the other.  The custom manufactured plywood we use for MP walls is more expensive and may have some inherent imperfections, such as knots or tendency to warp.  It is lighter weight than MDF, easier to electrify and more aesthetically pleasing to handle.  MDF stays flat, is smooth and splinter free … thus it is very easy to paint.  Our design team and assembly department prefer MDF for these reasons.  MDF is hard and is more difficult to insert wire connectors when electrifying your dollhouse.  Plywood is soft and easily accepts screws, nails and brads.  So, to sum it up, one is not better than the other.  It’s simply what you prefer.
